What inspired you to create Cowgirl's Friend and what is its focus?Naomi created Cowgirl's Friend to offer a simple yet powerful skincare solution to nurture and help regenerate skin health. Drawing inspiration from the values of self-reliance, natural beauty and empowerment associated with the cowgirl lifestyle, Naomi uses nutrient-rich, high-performance ingredients to soothe and rejuvenate the skin from the inside out.

What are your core values and how do they influence your approach to women's health?Our core values are rooted in integrity, authenticity, communication, sustainability and community connection. We actively listen to women's health concerns and respond by providing positive health resources, natural products and experiences that support women in leading healthy, inspired lives.

What certifications do you hold for crafting natural skincare products?Naomi graduated from Formula Botanica with an Advanced Diploma in Organic Cosmetic Science.

Where are your products made?We are a small farm in Northern British Columbia that grows lavender, raises sheep and cares for horses. We use our farm-fresh lavender and wild-foraged plants in the skincare products we manufacture on-site in our studio makery.

What makes your skincare products natural?Our products are made with plant-based ingredients, sourced from sustainable suppliers. We avoid harsh chemicals like parabens, sulfates and synthetic fragrances to ensure your skin only absorbs nature’s finest.

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?Yes, our products are formulated with gentle, natural ingredients that are suitable for sensitive skin. However, we recommend conducting a patch test before trying any new product to ensure compatibility with your skin.

Do your products contain synthetic fragrances?No, we only use essential oils and botanical extracts for fragrance, which not only smell amazing but are also beneficial for your skin.

Are your products cruelty-free?Absolutely! We are 100% cruelty-free, meaning none of our products or ingredients are tested on animals.

What is the shelf life of your products?Since our products are made from natural ingredients and use a broad spectrum antimicrobial preservative, we recommend using them within 6 to 12 months of opening.

How should I store your skincare products?We recommend storing our products in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to preserve their natural ingredients and effectiveness.

Can I use multiple products from your range together?Yes, our products are designed to work synergistically. You can layer them according to your skincare routine for maximum benefits but we suggest introducing new products one at a time to avoid overwhelming your skin.

What type of Yoga do you practice and how accessible is it for different levels of practitioners?Naomi's Yoga classes are all encompassing providing support to beginners and options for intermediate / advanced practitioners. We will practice breath work, meditation and break down the fundamentals of a Vinyasa style practice where movement is synced with the flow of breath.

What should I wear and bring to Yoga class?For yoga class, it's best to wear comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Additionally, yoga is typically practiced barefoot to help with balance and grip on the mat. Please bring your own yoga mat, meditation pillow and a blanket to assist you in some of the poses and final relaxation. Blocks and straps will be available to borrow. You can also bring own journal and pen for notes and/or free flow, stream of consciousness writing.

What should I bring and wear for hiking and/or horseback riding?For hiking, it's important to be prepared with rain gear, hiking shoes or boots and warm layers. Depending on the itinerary, our hike may range from gentle to intermediate difficulty with opportunities to deepen our connection with nature and ourselves. For trail riding, please wear a boot with a small heel, jeans and your cowgirl accessories of course ;-) Consider bringing rain gear and gloves. Safety helmets and pack bags will be provided. Additionally, bring your water bottle, bug spray, sunscreen and hats.

What should I know about the food and drinks for the event?We have a delicious menu planned and are considering everyone's dietary needs. Please be sure to let us know of any dietary requirements or restrictions so we can plan your meals accordingly. Feel free to bring extra snacks and your drink of choice (wine, beer) if you so desire.

What kind of experiences does your farm offer for visitors?We are a hobby farm that provides agri-tourism experiences and a small batch maker and distributor of natural skincare products. With a small lavender garden, a flock of sheep and three horses, we offer seasonal farm experiences where visitors can learn about animal husbandry and farming. Guests can also participate in healthy, fun, and educational activities, including outdoor yoga, crafts and "make & take" workshops.
